You cannot beat this view only steps away from our hotel the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong which sits right on the Kawloon Bay. I adored this location as it had a view of the iconic skyline and featured restaurants within walking distance along the water front. We ate at one restaurant called Spasso, it featured Italian cuisine and the people working there were incredibly friendly. I ordered the Arugula Salad and Raviolis and they were both great. The breadsticks that came with them were also on point. We liked this place so much we ended up going back a few nights later to grab a few drinks at the bar before our dinner at Carbone. Apparently, they also have a Sunday Brunch. Now that I have spent almost two years in Seoul, it was noticeably easier to find western food in both Hong Kong and Tokyo. Even though Italian food is relatively common to find in Seoul, it can sometimes be modified too much for the Korean palette. There are a few fantastic Italian restaurants in Seoul (read my post here on Italian In Seoul) they are just a little harder to find with trial and error. It was nice to randomly select Spasso and have it be such a nice experience.

One of the best areas to shop in HK is Causeway Bay. With Travis being a "Sneaker-Head", we headed over to NikeLab where I found an amazing limited-edition track pant that I am still regretting not buying. We also went over to SOGO Causeway Bay shopping mall and swung into Balenciaga where I scooped up a cute tote that I brought with me to Disney. This mall was fun with the many levels and an array of designer stores.
There are tons of indoor malls for shopping so if the weather isn’t cooperating you can always slip into one of these and get your shopping fix on. I bought the shoes in the above bag at Y3 which was a little closer to Central Hong Kong. Next time I head to HK I would like to explore more of the original boutiques.

One of the things we love doing is going to theme parks. They are full of so much visual stimulation and I love feeling like a kid again. I find it interesting to see the different countries interpretations of Disney as it feels the same, but different. The Peninsula Hong Kong has one of the more gorgeous lobbies I have ever seen. It makes you feel as though you've stepped back into time to the 1920's yet a modern luxury feel with everything perfectly placed. The ceilings were one of my favorite things along with the lighting structures. It's really a place that you don't see every day. I did a little research and found it is actually The Peninsula's flagship hotel which opened in 1928 and was billed as the ‘finest hotel east of the Suez.’ It went on to be known in local parlance as the ‘Grand Dame.’ It played a large role during Hong Kong's Japanese occupation as well as in World War II and to this day it is still considered one of the very best hotels in the world.
Walking through this hotel gives you that ultimate sense of luxury and with all the palms that true feeling you’re on vacation.

1: The Big Buddha
-Go see the Big Buddha on Lantau Island
Take the cable car! The Big Buddha
The Big Buddha, is a large bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong. The statue is sited near Po Lin Monastery and symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and faith.
2: Peak Tram at Victoria Peak
-Take the Peak Tram to the top of Victoria Peek
The Peak Tram is a funicular railway in Hong Kong, which carries both tourists and residents to the upper levels of Hong Kong Island. Running from Garden Road Admiralty to Victoria Peak via the Mid-Levels, it provides the most direct route and offers good views over the harbor and skyscrapers of Hong Kong.
3: Mong Kok
Mong Kok is a buzzing maze of narrow streets, known for shopping. Stalls with clothes and knick-knacks cram the vast Ladies’ Market, plants and colorful blooms fill the Flower Market, while Fa Yuen Street is full of sneaker and sports stores. Nearby, the Temple Street Night Market is a mix of curios, fortune tellers and food stands. Foodies explore the area's street food stalls, tea houses and casual eateries.
4: Sky 100
Sky 100 Reservations
Sky100 is a 360-degree indoor observation deck on the 100th floor of the International Commerce Centre, in West Kowloon, Hong Kong. sky100 is located two floors below The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong in the same building.
5: Ozone
Ozone Bar at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong is world famous as the 'highest bar in the world', and whilst this title is open to interpretation, a trip up to the 118th floor of Hong Kong's tallest building is simply a must when visiting Hong Kong.
5: Lan Kwai Fong
This is the ex-pat area of town.
Lan Kwai Fong is a small square of streets in Central, Hong Kong. The area was dedicated to hawkers before the Second World War, but underwent a renaissance in the mid-1980s. It is now a popular expatriate haunt in Hong Kong for drinking, clubbing and dining
6: Temple Street Night Market
The fun begins around 8:00 PM, when visitors flock to the numerous stalls lining this bustling, open-air market, stocking everything from clothes to mobile phones to watches.
7: Hong Kong Disney
Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island. It is located inside the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and it is owned and managed by Hong Kong International Theme Parks. It is the largest theme park in Hong Kong, followed by Ocean Park Hong Kong.
8: Ocean Park Theme Park
Ocean Park Hong Kong, commonly known as Ocean Park, is a marine mammal park, oceanarium, animal theme park and amusement park situated in Wong Chuk Hang and Nam Long Shan in the Southern District of Hong Kong. It is the second largest theme park in Hong Kong, following Hong Kong Disneyland.

Din Tai Fung is known internationally for its xiaolongbao. It was named one of the top ten restaurants in the world by The New York Times on 17 January 1993.[9][10][11] In November 2009, the restaurant's first Hong Kong branch at Tsim Sha Tsui, Silvercord Branch (新港店), was awarded one Michelin star by the Hong Kong and Macau 2010 edition of the Michelin Guide.[12] In December 2010, the restaurant's second branch in Hong Kong at Causeway Bay, Yee Wo Branch (怡和店), was also recommended by the Michelin Guide, as well as Hong Kong's Silvercord Branch in 2013.[13]
12: Watch A Symphony of Lights at 8pm
If you thought Victoria Harbour was a dazzling cityscape on its own, hang around for A Symphony of Lights. The multimedia show has set the harbour ablaze every night since 2004, and is recognised as one of the world’s most spectacular light shows. It has become the signature icon for Hong Kong, showcasing the vibrancy and glamorous night vista of the city.
